The Friends of The R.D. Pike Building are delighted to announce a magnificent boost to our efforts at restoring this iconic building. We've recently received a grant from Enbridge that is being used for two projects.
The first is the restoration of the grand state crest which adorned the front of the building from 1897 to the late 1950's. The students at UWM-SARUP architecture school are rebuilding the crest and their art department is going to paint it!

The second part of the grant will be used to help rebuild the sweeping, wrap around porch that was the visual centerpiece of the building when it was constructed.
Enbridge has been a terrific collaborative partner in helping us Re-Awaken History and we are very grateful for their grant contribution and their true interest in helping support the communities they serve.
